When I realized the internal calm that comes with doing my own work I was eager to teach others to do the same.

Starting therapy is a huge step. Maybe this is your first time finding a therapist, or maybe you have been to therapy in the past and are looking for a different perspective this time around. If you're searching for a therapist who will nurture and challenge you, be your biggest advocate, and keep you grounded when things seem out of control, then I’m your gal.

As a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist, I support women in all stages of life wanting to heal from and embrace the beautiful, messy, sometimes painful experiences that define us. When we are experiencing depression or anxiety oftentimes, low self-worth, trauma or shame are underneath the surface. This impacts how we show up in relationships with others and keeps us from being our most authentic and joyful selves.

I specialize in working with those struggling with perinatal depression, anxiety and OCD that can sometimes show up during trying to conceive, loss, pregnancy and postpartum. Motherhood, in any capacity, is transformational. Sometimes it transforms us in ways we don’t expect. The unexpected can be scary, exhausting, traumatizing and confusing. Together we will navigate and process through these challenges.

During our time together I will provide you with resources, guidance, support and a safe space to just be. I value authentic conversation and digging through the layers underneath the surface. In session, you can expect me to ask you to slow down and process the emotions that are showing up in real time. I can often tell when there is resistance or avoidance to feelings surfacing and when we pause to notice these feelings, that is when the real work can start to happen. We will dig through your childhood experiences and question the impact that they have on your behaviors today. Therapy requires vulnerability, curiosity and commitment to yourself and the process. I would be honored to be a part of your story and help you achieve true joy and clarity so you can be the person, mother, partner, friend, sister that you’ve been yearning to be.

While the focus will be on you, here are a few things to get to know me:

Frequently Asked Questions

What can I expect our first session?
  • Complete initial paperwork beforehand
  • Join Simple Practice video call or arrive in person at scheduled time
  • Attend 50 min assessment session where we will create a collaborative treatment plan that outlines your areas of struggle, goals and any additional needs you may have
  • During your assessment session we will also determine frequency, and any other providers you may need in your circle
Is the assessment session different than regularly scheduled sessions?

Yes, our first session together is an assessment session. The purpose of this session is for us both to determine if we are a good fit for working together. It is also a time of discovery for us to ask questions about your biopsychosocial history, your current struggles and challenges, and your goals, needs, and desires for our work together. During this session, we will provide a safe, sacred space for you to share openly, vulnerably, and honestly in a compassionate, caring, nonjudgmental environment.

Are you partnered with any insurance companies?

We do not contract with insurance companies or communicate in any way with your insurance company. This means that we are “out-of-network” providers.

Some insurance plans include out-of-network benefits. The best thing to do is to call the number on your insurance card and ask about your out of network behavior/mental health benefits.

We can provide you with a receipt that you can use to file for possible reimbursement with your insurance company. This is called a Superbill.

What are my rights when it comes to billing?

You have the right to receive a Good Faith Estimate for the total expected cost of any non-emergency healthcare services, including psychotherapy services. You can ask your health care provider, and any other provider you choose, for a Good Faith Estimate before you schedule a service. If you receive a bill that is at least $400 more than your Good Faith Estimate, you can dispute the bill. Make sure to save a copy or picture of your Good Faith Estimate. For questions or more information about your right to a Good Faith Estimate, visit www.cms.gov/nosurprises.

How much does each session cost?

Sessions last 50 minutes and range in price from $135 to $185 depending on level of training and specialties. Assessment sessions cost between $200 and $250.

Where can I verify licensing?
