Candice Coughenour

Clinical Director

Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist

I love working with “20 and 30 something” year old adults going through changes in life and/or just trying to figure it out. Whether that is starting college, changing jobs, having kids, moving out, getting divorced, etc.  These transitions are often times when anxiety spikes, self-worth is questioned, and boundaries are shifted.

I believe in examining all parts of you and your systems and honoring all the complexities that come along with your interconnectedness. You are the expert on your life, and together we will explore your insight and mutually puzzle our way to healthy living.

After working with together, you will be able to advocate for yourself, communicate your needs, and live your life with childlike wonder again.

Client Focus: Couples and individuals ages 18 and up

Modalities Used: Collaborative, Satir Experiential Therapy, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Narrative Therapy, Gottman, Mindfulness and play practice

Issues: Anxiety, depression, stress, boundaries, self-worth and authenticity
LGBTQ+, life transitions, communication

Experience: Candice is a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist and a Seton Hill University graduate with a Master’s of Arts in Marriage and Family Therapy. Candice works with male, female and non-binary people who are struggling with anxiety, depression, stress, communication and boundaries. Candice also serves as the Clinical Director for Nurture and Be Therapy Services.

More than just my work:

“I am honored to be with individuals as they transform themselves and find their own path.”

I am a huge nerd and work hard to keep my childlike wonder. I think it is important to play and be silly, especially in adulthood.

I am Reiki certified and love exploring holistic and spiritual health. I believe the mind, body, and soul connection can be important to healthy living!
