Hailey McPherson
Licensed Professional Counselor
You may be here because your relationship feels harder than it should. Maybe the arguments spiral and never resolve, or the silence between you feels heavier than words. Perhaps you’ve been through something painful — trauma, grief, betrayal — or maybe it’s the slow drift of disconnection over time. Either way, it’s exhausting when the person who once felt closest now feels so far away, and it can leave you both wondering if things can truly change.
In our work together, I draw from Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT), one of the most researched and effective models for couples counseling. EFT helps uncover the deeper patterns that keep you stuck — the cycles of blame, withdrawal, or misunderstanding — and replaces them with new ways of reaching for each other that create safety and trust. I also integrate Narrative Therapy to help you reframe the story of your relationship and Solution-Focused Therapy to build practical steps forward. These models are evidence-based and deeply human, offering both the structure and compassion needed to help couples reconnect. You can expect me to be active and engaged in sessions: guiding, gently challenging when needed, and always holding space where both of you feel safe enough to show up as yourselves.
When couples commit to this work, the results are powerful. Arguments that once went in circles begin to bring clarity. Trust is rebuilt, and communication feels safer and more productive. Over time, many couples rediscover not just stability, but joy — the ease, playfulness, and spark that first brought them together. Therapy is about more than repairing what’s broken; it’s about creating a relationship that feels like home again — secure, resilient, and full of life.
